Mixed Messages

Ok well as usual I've been dragging my feet on posting. Perhaps partly because I'm still not sure how to proceed in my 2010 impressions. Once again, without making any value judgments for or against I think it bears mentioning how divided the city seems to me. Immediately after posting that I intended to BEGIN discussing 2010 I got a private email from someone very much in favour of the games who was kind enough to direct me to their own newsfeed on the games and supply me with tons of facts and figures to back up his point of view. And the next day I had several of my friends recommend I watch Five Ring Circus when it comes out on DVD.
Everyone has their point of view and a fist full of facts to back them up, but whose right? Perhaps the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I don't know. What I do know is there are two factions in this city with very different agendas.
